Aitken and Co. s Refort.— The produce market has been very active during the past week, excepting with regard to chaff and oats. Potatoes were very depressed on Monday, but realised sharply since. Onions are very scarce, and the same may be said of maize and cheese, the latter being clean sold out. Butter is still very scarce and nothing like sufficient to supply the demand. Kggs firmed again at Is 2d per dozen. Fruit is selling at phenomenal prices owing to'the short supplies of Island fruits. We advise all New Zealand growers to ship to this market at once when splendid returns arc assured. Poultry a little easier, excepting for best table birds. Pigs and pork in great demand.
