(by telegraph.— press association). Auckland, Last Night. The Waihi returns for the month show 6702 tous crushed, for gold valued at £21,151, giving an average of £3 2s (id per ton. The total yield to date is £505,744- The Komata reefs returned from 410 tons, a yield £IoOS, and the Waitekauri Company, from 1130 tous, had a return of £5522 Another haul of picked stone in the Kapanea mine, by tributers, is valued at £SOO. ~ The charges of alleged perjury against Ex-constable Slnnner were dismissed by Mr Brabant, S.M., who said there »vas no chance on the evidence lie had before him of a jury convicting the accused of perjury. The charges against ex-con-stables Jackson, Macrae and Scott were withdrawn. The defendants had 25 witnesses for the defence.
