An ex-policeman named McCoy, at Mudgee. murdered his wife and infant child with an axe. He dashed the brains of both over the floor. He also threatened one of his boys. The couple frequently quarrelled. The murderer alleges that his wife threw hot water over him and was an unnecessarily jealous wife.
