THOSE EXBENSES.
The following letter, which is a copy of one received by a commercial traveller from his German firm, though by no means new, is well worth reproduc ing:— "19 Berner Strasse, Berlin. 28th February, 1894-Mr F. Marks (on de Road), Dear Sir,—Ve haf received your letter von de Kith mit exbenses agouut and agount lists. Vot ve vant is orders. Ve hat blenty maps in Berlin vrom vich to make up routes, also big vamilies to make exbenses. Mr Marks, ve vind in your exbenses 2s 6d (two schillings and six bence) for billiards; blease don't lilay any more billiards for us,—vot ve vant is orders. Also ve do see" 7s Gel for horse and buggy. Vere is de horse, and vot did you do mit the buggy ? Veseud you to-day by vreight drain two boxes /,'gar.s; one costs us 4s 6d, de oder Is 9d ; you can schmoke de 4s 6d and gife de oders tu your gustomers. Ve sended you also samples of a necktie dat costs us 7s 9d a groz. Sail dem at 7s 9d de dozen ; if you can't get 7s 9d dake 2s 3d for dem. Dis is a novelty, as we haf dem in our stock since two years, and haf sold none. Don't dake any more invoices ahead, as de days are loDger in de summer as dey are in de'winter. Vot ve vant is orders—Yours Druly ."
