Medical Man. —A meeting was held on Saturday last to take into consideration the procuring of a resident medical man for the district. Mr W. Bankart, who was in the chair, expressed regret at the unavoidable absence of Mr Langley. He also spoke of the desirability of procuring the services of a resident doctor. Mr Burton gave a resume of the proceedings of the meeting held at Raglan on the subject, and Messrs Arome, Houchen, Saunders and othersVaving spoken, it was resolved that Messrs Bankart and Houchen act with the Raglan committee. Mr Bankart was also requested to interview the Ruapuke residents on the subject. It was suggested at the meeting that heads of households should contribute 21s and all other adults 10s per annum.—(Raglan Correspondent).
