Big supplies of fresh cut vegetables to hand, and fetching very satisfactory prices. Messrs Alex. Aitken and Co.'s Report.—All sales during the past week have been particularly well attended, and the prices realised were very satisfactory. Potatoes are a little easier. New potatoes and pumpkins are in great demand. Kumaras for teed, etc., are selling freely. Onions are very firm and scarce. Chaff scarce ; oats are firmer, and maize will shortly ease. Butter is still scarce, but power is being exercised to force prices downwards. Eggs easier ; cheese scarce. All fruit in prime order is selling well. Poultry is eagerly sought for at high prices, except ducks, which have unexpectedly eased a little.
