Messrs Alex. Aitken and Co.'s Report.—All sales during the past week have been particularly well attended, and the prices realised were very satisfactory. Potatoes are a little easier. New potatoes and pumpkins are in great demand. Kumaras for teed, etc., are selling freely. Onions are very firm and scarce. Chaff scarce ; oats are firmer, and maize will shortly ease. Butter is still scarce, but power is being exercised to force prices downwards. Eggs easier ; cheese scarce. All fruit in prime order is selling well. Poultry is eagerly sought for at high prices, except ducks, which have unexpectedly eased a little.
