(BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT). Capetown, August 31. At the elections the Afrikander Bund gained a seat in Beaufort West. Widespread charges are made that Germany is financing the Bund candidates, but Mr Schreiner has denied a statement made by Mr Cecil Rhodes to that effect.
