KLONDYKE GOLDFIELDS
AN UNFAVOURABLE REPORT. (by elkctric telegraph—copyright). (Received Sept. 2, 0.30 a.m.) Sydney, September 2. A Sydney miner, writing from Klondyke, says that nine-tenths of the country is monopolised by dummying, and that outsiders have a poor show of getting a likely piece of ground. Many of the supposed rich claims, after cleaning up the season's work, hava not obtained sufficient returns to pay wages. Thousands who have arrived on the field since the fall of last year have been prospecting all the time, but have got nothing.
