The Waikato Argus Office. Wednesday. MESSRS MoNICOL & CO.'S OHAUPO SALE. At Messrs McNicol and Co.'s sale on Tuesday there was a, very small muster of cattle. Only a few dairy cows were offered, and none of a good sort ; bidding was languid. Prices were follows : Dairy cows, nominal, from £2 to £3 : springiug heifers, £2 : 18-months-old steers, 32s ; small calves, mixed sexes, 10s ; empty cows, from £2 Is to £2 3s ; fresh empty heifer?, £2 4s ; three-ye3r-old steers,"£3 14s ; not many beef cattle offered, and none sold under the hammer. Sheep : Over 600 were yarded, and some of them of excellent quality. Mr Irvine, from Puketiti, had a splendid line of fat wethers in. These sheep, I understand, only went up there about two months ago as stores, and tiiey are now in prime condition. The feed they were on was young grass and toft tu. nips. The rrices were : Fat crossbred wethers, from 13s fid to 13s 9d ; mixed ewes and wethers, lis lid ; small hoggets, 4s 9d, demand moderate.—(Own Correspondent).
