A QUEENSLAND REMINISCENCE. An interesting reminiscence gives pleasure not only to the hearer, but also to the one recounting it. Many interesting reminiscences can be tokl of early days, early struggles and subsequent triumphs by old colonists. Mrs Knibb, of Earle Street, Toowong, Queensland, has had some most interesting experiences, although fortunately, all her troubles have now been overcome. Her reminiscences date back twelve years ago. “At that time,” so she told a press representative, “ I met with a bad accident. As a result, my thigh bone was broken, and since that time I have suffered a great deal. I lost the sight of my left eye, mainly through the disease, and even after treatment of it was over, I suffered from great pain across the bone over the eye. Last Christmas twelve months I was so bad that I could scarcely move iu bed. I had to go to the hospital after being treated for a long time by the doctors; but after coming out again I suffered just the same. If I did a little washing in the day time I could scarcely turn in bed at night, and during westerly winds I was always laid up. A -little while aeo I read o’f the cures effected by Dr. Williams’ Pink Pills for Pale People, but I was doubtful about them. One of my family, however, said the cases reported must be genuine, or the people would not dare to print them ; so I bought a box of the pills and took one after each meal. They gave me some relief, but I still suffered, and I was told to take two pills after each meal. I did that, and the effect has been wonderful. I have got rid of the rheumatism, and the pain over my eye has gone. During the recent westerly winds I was up and about, and suffered no ill effects.” “ You attribute that to Dr. Williams Pink Pills ?” the interviewer asked. “ Yes, indeed,” said Mrs Knibb, “I do, and to nothing else. If it were not for them, I should not be standing out here talking to you now.” It must be understood that Dr. Williams’ Pink Pills for Pale People are not a patent medicine. They positively cure rheumatism, sciatica, lumbago, neuralgia, and influenza’s evil after effects, and are a specific for all diseases of ladies, such as amemia, poor and watery blood, female irregularities, nervous headache and hysteria. They arc not a purgative medicine ; they brace up and permanently strengthen the whole system. They are genuine only with the full name, Dr. Williams’ Pink Pills for Pale People, printed in red on the white outside wrapper, and are sold by chemists and storekeepers generally ; or the Dr. Williams' Medicine Co., Wellington, N.Z., will forward, on receipt of stamps or post order, one box for 35., or half-a-dozen for 10s. Gd. If the full name is not bn, you are being defrauded with a spurious- imitation.
