THE CAPE ELECTIONS

Capetown, August 22. At the elections Mr H. P. Schreiner, formerly Attorney-General, was reelected. Sir Henry Juta, Speaker, and Mr P. H. Paure, Minister for Agriculture were defeated. It is expected that the Afrikander Bund will have a majority of five in the new Assembly.
Capetown, August 23
At the elections the Afrikander Bund has gained four more seats, and will probably have a majority of ten.
