NGAROTO DRAINAGE BOARD.

A meeting of the above was held at Te Awamutu on Saturday. Present: Messrs T. Fry (chairman), G. Finch, W. J. Hunter, D. Cavanagh and E. Ellis. Engineer.—The applications received by the Chairman for the position of engineer to the Board were opened, and it was decided to accept that of Mr E. deC. Drury, C.E., of Hamilton, at the terms meutioned.—The Clerk was instructed to communicate- with Mr Drury, asking him to proceed with the work as soou as possible, in order to have his estimate, etc., in by next meeting. Classifier.—Mr H. Roche, of Ohaupo, was appointed classifier. Drains.—Some discussion took place as to the different sizes of the various drains required for the |lowering of the lakes.
