The Dervishes have massacred a 801-. gian expedition while boating on the Bahr el Jebel, a branch of the Nile. Guardial Singh has been found guilty of corruption, and has been dismissed from the Indian Civil Service. France is undertaking a strong ex* dedition to Samori, or Wasula Kingdom, a French protectorate on the Upper Niger. Tho British Parliament has been prorogued. The Japanese Estimates show a deficit of 50 million yen for the next fiscal year. Russia is arming her warships with dynamite guns.
