Numerous Testimonials. THE VALUE OP MOLASSES as Fodder for Horses, Cattle, Sheep and Pigs has long been recognised in Europe and America ; while die use of it in Australia and New Zealand, though less geueral, is rapidly increasing. Not only can stock be kept alive by it in times of drought, but even when food is abundant it will pay well to use it. It serves as a condiment to tood that is dry and unpalatable, acts as a substitute for more expensive articles of diet, and tends to regulate the bowels ; so preventing constipation and maintaining good health. For dairy cows it is especially valuable, increasing the yield of milk and improving its quality. This result, which was obtained in Denmark and Sweden, has been confirmed by the following : RESULT OF TRIALS AT Hawkesbury Agricultural College, NEW 'SOUTH WALES. npwO COWS were selected on August 18th, both in rather low A condition, and giving—No. 1, an average of loilb of milk per day, with a percentage of 351 Butter Fat, as tested by the Babcock machine ; No. 2, an average of 151 b of milk, with a percentage of 2.54 Butter Fat. After a few days' trial, both cows took food remarkably well; after a week the following result was obtained : .No. 1 Cow—23*lb Jtfil"k, Butter Fat 46 ; No. 2 Cow—2l"lb Milk, Butter Fat 4 3 The Cows showed marked improvement in appearauce! There cau be no doubt that the food is of exceptional value—a little chaff was mixed with food. (Signed) J. L. THOMPSON, Principal. SOLE AGENTS. THE BEST WAY OF USING MOLASSES is to dissolve it in boiling water, and sprinkle over the hay, chaff, or other food. When the animals are not stall fed it can be given in the drinking water, but should be mixed daily as required. Animals not previously accustomed to sugar do not immediately take to sweet food ; but there is no "better appetiser than hunger, and a slight reduction in the ordinary allowance may be made when the Molasses is first given. It is well to begin with one pound of Molasses per day, gradually increasing the amount as the liking for it is acquired. Horses and cows become very fond of it, and will consume 10 or 121 b per day ; but to prevent any scouring action it is safer not to allow more than 5 or Clb without watching the result in each individual case.
