(J'.y TKLEGEAI'H—PRESS ASSOCIATION). Auckland, Last Night. The New Zealand Crown mines' battery crushed for the past month 2500 tons of ore of bullion, valued at £5091. The mass meeting re the North Island Trunk Railway and connection with Stratford, called for Saturday night, was postponed owing to bad weather, till next Saturday. Hon. W. Jennings stated he hud received a telegram from the Stratford Chamber of Commerce, to the effect that the Chamber would endeavour to secure railway communication between Stratford and Auckland. The Secretary of the Harbour Board left by the VVaihora for London, to arrange the subsidising and equipment of the Calliope Dock with the British Admiralty. He enterviews the Admiral at Sydney, re the deck. Twenty-two Austrians arrived by the Mararoa from Sydney for the gumfields.
