WAIKATO AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.
A mbkting of the Executive Committee of the above Association wag held in the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency's Buildings at Hamilton on Thursday. There wore present : Messrs Jas. Hume (chairman), J. < and R. fisher, N. I. Hunt, J. Baragh, W. G. Park, E. B. Cox, J. Anderson, and C. Day. The following new members were elected, viz. : J. Bell, Kiwitahi ; A. J. Farmer, Manawaru ; A. Upton, \\ aimai; and C. Clark, Te Awamutu. The Secretary reported that he had received several satisfactory replies from the gentlemen who had been asked to act an judges. . , , The valuable special prizes, the result of Messrs Allen and Butler's visit to Auc'kland, were allotted to various cissscs In classes 106, 107, 108, specially reserved for exhibits from farms, owned, occupied or leased by the exhibitor, the number of exhibits was reduced fiom five to three. In the pig classes the large and white sections were struck out and a section for other pigs substituted. The Association intend to offer special prizes for porkers, and the Cambridge Dairy Association for bacon pigs. The bicycle events were arranged the same as last year. It was decided to call tenders for the luncheon, particulars of which will be advertised shortly.
