TE AWAMUTU.
Industrial Exhibition.—A mettiug of the committee of the Waikato West Industrial Exhibition was held on Monday evening. Present : Messrs J. P. Vause (chairman) ; C. Barker and T. Gresham. The Chairman intimated that 1250 circulars setting- forth tho object, etc., of the Exhibition had been circulated through the schools in tho districts and all the Head Teachers had been writton to individually soliciting their assistance in creating an interest in the affair amongst their scholars. Several favourable written and verbal replies had been received. On the motion of the Chairman it was resolved to hold the exhibition in the Te Awamutu Town Hall on Wednesday the 9th November, IS9S, and that His Excellency tho Governor, patron of the Exhibition be invited to open tho name. It was also decided to invite representative gentlemen in each of tho districts interested as well as Messrs Lang, Hemes, and Cadman M.H.R'sto accept office as vice-patrons, and a list of names as drawn up, was approved. The question of tho various classes of exhibits wasthen fully gone into and aciraftfchedule drawn up. It was agreed to invito a a number of local ladies and gentleman to act as Stewards in tho various classos, to whom intending' exhibitors might apply for information and particulars of the several chines. The question of appointing judges for tho various classes was also gone into and several gentlemen selected consenting to act. It was decided that the exhibition bo open in the afternoon and cvoning ; vocal and musical competitions to bo held in tho afternoon and a promenade concert in the evening. Tho question of arranging for a refreshment booth was left; over for further consideration. Draft rules and conditions tor exhibitors were drawn up and approved, and it was agreed to have full schedules of classes, etc., printed and circulated as soon as possible. Ckeameky.— The supply of ruilk to the local creamery is steadily increasing and has now reached 580 gallons, which Mr Burton our obliging new manager says is very satisfactory for this part of tlic season. The milk is received four days a week. —(Own Correspondent.)
