RHODES AND KRUGER.
A PROPOSAL BY MR RHODES. (BYELECTRIC TELKGBU'H —COI'YRIOHT). (Received Aug. 8, 1.10 p.m.). Capetown, July 31.Mr Cecil Rhodes, in the course of an election speech, said the best solution of the difficulty in South Africa would be for him to meet President Kvuger and compare notes. This, however, is an impossible one. An eighteenth of Kruger's burghers, he added, had settled in Rhodesia, and if Kruger did not look out Rhodesia would soon have half the burghers.
