WAITOA ROAD BOARD.
Tin-: ordinary monthly meeting of the Board took place last Saturday. Present: Messrs Chepmell (in the chair), Allen, Bellamy. Tenders. —For the contract on Grattan's road the following tenders were received :—A. Bossons, £l3 ;A. J. Forrest, £l3 ; J. O'Brien, £ll os (accepted.) Rate.—The Board decided, after careful consideration, to give notice of their intention to make a halfpenny rate at next meeting. Bridoes —The engineer reported that he had got the bridge on McGlashan's road put right, and that, on inspecting the Piako bridge near the Kiwitahi railway station, he found that new piles arc required.—lt was decided that piles be ordered, and that they be put in later on. Accoitnts.—The following accounts were passed for payment :—Public account, £SO 2s 3d ; A." Bremner, £2 10s; V. Pavitt, £3 15s; W. Abbey, £ll ss; W. Pevreal, £lO 14s; J. Latimer, £5; J. Lavery, £0 12s 7d ; a. Burge, £4 10s.
