MILK SUPPLIERS' UNION.

A MEETING of delegatus from the milk suppliers to theWaikato creameries was held on Tuesday at Ohaupo. Owing probably to the had weather which prevailed, there was only a small attendance. Those present were : Messrs Joseph Gane, J. H. Mandeno, R. Burke, J. Berry, F. Potts and \V. Livingstone. Mr J. Gane was voted to the chair, and apologised for the absence of Mr John Fisher, whom other business prevented attending. The Chairman pointed out that under tiic circumstances they could not do much, but he thought they could get a programme prepared for the next meeting. Mr Allen, who had beeu in Auckland recently, hac! met Mr Pacey, who had informed him that it would have been useless for him (Mr Pacey) to have attended the meeting of suppliers as he had no power to amend the conditions as submitted to the suppliers. Mr Berry moved and Mr Livingstone seconded—"'That Mr John Fisher be asked to accept the position of Chairman pro. (cm., aud that he, in conjunction wiih Mr Gane, ba deputed to formulate rules to be laid before the next meeting."- Carried On the motion of Mr Gane, it was resolved to ask Mr M. Butler to accept the oflice of Secretary on the understanding that if an union is formed v. suitable salary would attach to the posi tion. It was resolved to hold the next, meeting on the lGtli August at Ohaupo, to be duly intimated by advertisement.
