Butter : I sold 200. boxes of Taranaki bulk at to lOd, besides 50 of rolls, and have 200 more available. Dairy butter firm. Eggs easier. Northern bacon, hams and cheese are rapidly displacing Canterbury brands. Apples, big demand ; I sold 50 cases locals at 10s to 12s 6d per case, and require more. Pork sold up to 4d lb. Poultry and live pigs in great demand ; turkeys improving.
