The Waihi gold mine crushed for the month 6845 tons for bullion valued at £20,722. This is the mine's second highest return. The Royal Oak Mine crushed 20 tons of ore and 7841 b of picked stone for bullion valued at £I6OO. Mr Jas. Dickey, ironmonger, who last week filed his petition in bankruptcy, has been taken by a paralytic shock and is dangerously ill. He was re-elected to day on the Committee of the Auckland Kacing Club. At the annual meeting of the Auckland Racing Club the report showed a profit on last season of £2095, after expending £BB3 on improvements on the racecourse.
