Report.— The..clearing sale of stock, implements, etc., on account of Mrs Hunt, held at Eversley, Walton, yesterday, w r as one of the most successful clearing sales we have ever had, all classes of stock selling at full values and at a good advance on late sales. Medium draught horses, £l4 10s to £22 ; aged draughts, £7 Ids to £l4 10s; unbroken medium draughts, £ll os to £l6 15s ; first draft of fat and forward full-mouth ewes, 10s; second draft, 7s 7d ; pure-bred Romney ewes, 13s 9d ; Romney ewe hoggets, 14s 6d ; ram hoggets, 10s 6d ; fat and forward cows, £3 15s ; fresh conditioned empty cows, £2 7s 6d to £2 ISs ; yearling steers, 30s ; yearling heifers, 203; one and a-half year steers, 355. At Waitoa to-day about 120 head of beef were yarded, about the choicest lot ever penned, and almost all sold. Steers, £6, £6 7s 6d, £6 15s, £7 5s and £8 ; heavy cows and heifers, £4 10s to £5 7s 6d ; heifers, £3 2s upwards ; springers, dull of sale; no stores yarded; fat wethers (very choice), 13s 6d; others, 10s to 12s ; fat ewes (good), 10s 6d ; longwool ewes, in lamb, 9s 9d. AUCKLAND MARKETS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) report:— Aucklaud Wool Stores, July 20.—Our catalogue on Tuesday was a very large one. Hides : All good lines were in better demand. No prime stout ox offering. We sold : Heavy stout ox, '4Jd to lb ; medium, 4d to 4Jd ; light, 3Jd to 3|<l ; cow, best lines, to 3|d; scored, 3d to 3sd : kip, 3£d to 4|d ; calf, sound, 3|d to 4Ad ; stags, to 2Jd. Sheepskins : Firmer. Large, 3s 3d to 3s lOd ; small and medium, 2s 6d to 3s. Tallow : Market easier. Besc rendered, 14s 6d to 15s 6d cwt. Oats : No alteration in the market. Prices are 2s 5d to 2s 6d c.i.f. No sales being made in the meantime. Buyers waitiug the arrival of sailers. Maize : Shipments to hand this week are somewhat lighter, but the market has not yet recovered from the recent heavy arrivals, and prices remain the same, viz., 2s 4d and 2s 6d for new and old on the wharf. However, should shipments this week be again light, we can look for a rise in prices. Chaff : The market is stronger again,.and good lines are selling at £4 os at railway. Messrs Alfred Bcckland and Sons' Weekly Report.—At the Haymarket, meadow hay ranged from 4s to 5s 3d cwt; straw, 18s to £1 7s the load; wheat straw chaff, £3; oaten chaff, £4 10s to £4 15s ; potatoes, £7 and £7 10a ; carrots, £1 8s; pressed hay, £4 10s to £5 ; pressed straw, £3 ; sharps, £5 153; bran, £4 15s ; blood and bone manure, £4 ss; Chesterfield guano, £3 10s; bonedust, £6 ton ; linseed, 2Jd lb ; feed oats, 2s 9d and 2s lOd ; dun oats, 3s 3d ; black Tartars, 3a 4d ; field peas, 5s 9d ; maize, 2s 9d the bushel. On Friday good draught horses yarded numerously. Prices ranged from £2O to £2B ; medium draught, £9 to £l6 ; spring cart, horse, and harness, £3O ; trap horse and harness, £ll ; set of harness, £4 10s, were the prices obtained. On Tuesday, hides in usual supply, a falling market. Prices for ox hides were from 3£d to 4d ; cow hides, 2Jd to 3^l; calf skins, 3d to 4d lb ; tallow, lis to 14s 6d cwt; fat, l : [-d lb ; bones, 3s 3d cwt; sheep pelt 3 at last week's values ; fresh akins, from 2s 4d to 4b ; dry skins, Is 2d to 3s 6d each ; fleece wool, Remusra on Thursday dairy cattle near calving were yarded numerously ; they were not required, and many remained unsold. Young and fat calves, in usual number, sold freely at fully late values. Fat cattle, in average number (218 sold, the greater number aged oxen), were at irregular values, -uid ranged from 17s to 21s 1001 b ; steers ranged from £6 to £0 17s 6d each; cows, £3 to £6 2s 6d. Sheep, yarded iu full number (1750 sold), were at last week's values. Wethers were from 8s to 16s 6d each ; ewes, 6s to Pis 3d. Pigs, in limited number, advanced in price ; 80 sold. Messrs Hunter and Nolan's Refort.— Horsefeed, seed, grain, etc. : Average quantities have been brought forward, and a corresponding quantity of busiuess done. We quote : Maize, new, on wharf, 2s 4d to 2s od ; old do., 2s 6d ; ex store, 2s Sd per bushel; feed oats, 2s lOd ; seed do., 3s 3d ; bran, £4 15s per ton ; chaff at station, £3 7s Gd for inferior sample to £4 5s for good quality ; carrots. £1 5s to £1 7s 6(1 ton. Horses: On Friday, at the Durham yards, horses were yarded in less numbers than for some weeks, but all of a good stamp changed hands. There is a demand for useful plough and harness horses. Heavy draughts sold at from £ls to £23 10s; medium do., £l2 to £l6 10s ; light harness, £3 to £9 10s; hacks, £3 to £8 10s. Wool, hides, skins and tallow ; In usual numbers.
