The Waikato Argus Office, Wednesday. MESSRS McNICOL k CO.'S STOCK SALE. At Messrs McNicol and Co.'s Ohaupo sale on Tuesday, about 280 head of cattle were offered, nearly all of a good class, and in fresh, forward condition. Not many dairy cows were yarded, for which there was little or no demand, no good sorts offering. Steers and grown bullocks were well represented. Mr Ellis had a good line of nice fresh steers from Puketiti, and there wns also a good line of big bullocks from Te Uku, all in fresh forward condition, just fit to top off on turnips. Although all the grown steers were sold, the tone of the market was a bit easier, and prices ruled in favour of buyers. Calves were not in demand, and only a few sold. There was a fair number of fat stock, which sold at late quotations. Prices were as follows : Mr Ellis sold his lot of 76 head from £4 16s to £6 ; the best lots from To Uku, £5 15s to £6 ; do., from £4 10s to £4 19s ; 18-months-old steers (very choice), £2 12s ; two year-old heifers, 37s ; yearlings (mixed s'exes), 21s ; fat heifers, £4 78 6d ; fat steers (small), from £5 15s to £5 17s.
