MORRINSVILLE.
A tlain and fancy dress ball, given by the ladies of Morrinsville, was held last Friday evening and was a pronounced success. Great praise is due to the promoters for the energetic manoer in which they worked to make the ball a success. There being no moon made ic a little awkward for the people coming, but on entering the hall with its bright lights and artistic decorations, this little riiffi culty was soon forgotten. From thirty to thirty-five couples assembled. The Grand March started punctually at eight o'clock and dancing was kept up with spirit until the " wee sma'ours." Mr frank Delaney made an efficient M. 0., and Mr Grigshy supplied splendid music. The extras were played by Mr W. Adams, who is an artist on the violin.
