TE RORE AND WHATAWHATA BRIDGES.

.—♦_ TO THE KDITOE. Sik, —I notice in your report of the meeting of the Waipa, County Council, iu connection with an account from the Raglan County Council for expenditure on the Te Rore and Whatawhata bridges, that Or. Teasdale protested against the charge for engineering, as the Te Rore bridge was under the charge of Mr ITursthousf. Mr Teasdale will pardon me fcr correcting him ; the bridge is entirely under the control of the Raglan County Council. What he probably meant to state, was, that Mr Hnrsthouse was the oflicer appointed by the Department to approve the specifications and certify the voucher, for the expenditure of the £IGO Government grant expended last year on the Te Rore bridge.—l am, etc., W. I. CojUiADi. R ; iglau, 18th July, 189 S.
