(ltY TKLEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION). Napier, Last Night. Capt. Russell received a hearty welcome from his constituents on Saturday, on the occasion of a flying visit from Wellington. Iu reply to congratulations, he said the Opposition had been for a long time trying to roll a big stone to the top of the hill, but he believed the top was nearly reached, and when the triennial scrummage came on he believed they would be successful.
