THE HAMILTON TRAFFIC BRIDGE.

An a result of the recent conference between ths Mayor of Hamilton and the Chairmen of the Waikato aud Waipa Councils, a request was forwarded to the Government through Mr Lang, M.H.K., asking that an engineer be sent to inspect and report, on tlie state of this bridge. Mr Lang has given the matter his attention, as will be seen by the following letter received by him from the Minister for Lands : honour to acknowledge receipt of your note or the 2nd insr., forwarding ft letter to the Hon. Minister of Lands signed by the Chairman of the Waipa County Council, the Chairman of the Waikato County Council and rhe Mayor of Hamilton requesting the Government to send an engineer to inspect and report upon the state of the Hamilton Bridge. In reply I have to say that instructions have been given as desired, and Mr Hursthouse will no doubt communicate with the gentlemen who signed the letter."
