According to the twelfth issue of Brassey's Naval Annual, we have now 2!) first-class battleships built and 9 building compared with 14 owned by Prance and 0 building, Russia having half a dozen in each stage. Of secoudclass battleships we have 7, and of third-class 20, with none building in cither class. Franca has 3 second-elaas built and 1 building, and 7 third-class with none building ; Russia, when she has completed her 1 second-class ship building, will have 5 of the type ; of the the third-class she has 5, none building. Thus of battleships we have 65, !) building, against France 30, 7 building, and Russia 22, 7 building, Of the three classes of cruisers, we have 131, 27 building, compared with France's 40, 19 building, and Russia's 14, 4 building.
