There were no marks apparent on the body. The police are investigating the case. New Plymouth, Last Night. A little girl of IS months, named Chapman, was drowned in a creek at Makarakia on Friday. Dunedin, Last Night. Charlotte Richardson, aged six, was playing before the fire, when her clothes caught. She died at the hospital. A young man named Edward Faulkner fell down a shaft 112 feet in the Globe mine into a well 25 feet deep. He was killed immediately.
