Debating Society. The usual fortnightly meeting of the Debating uod Social Society was held in the Public Hall on Friday, 10th June, when the journal was read. The contributions were numerous aud were much appreciated by the audience. The next evening will be devoted to Essays on "Which is the greatest happiness producer—Love Courtship or Marriage ?" Waipa Hotel.—The new addition to the Waipa Hotel has now been started some time, and the contractor (Mr Hancock) is getting ,on very rapidly. It is decidedly a great improvement, both to the size and appearance of the hotel, and will undoubtedly be a great convenience. (Own Correspondent). •
