LODGE BETA-WAIKATO ANNUAL BALL.

o The annual ball held by Lodge BetaWaikato at Hamilton to celebrate the installation of the Worshipful Master will be held this year on the 30th inst., and from present indications the coming gathering will eclipse all its predecessors. This ball is looked upon as the one ball ot the year, and it has attained such popularity that the committee, having only limited space at its disposal for dancing, has decided to confine the sale of tickets, so that those who attend may not have their pleasure spoilt by being overcrowded. L>ist year the hall was filled to its full extent, and taking this as a guide, the number of tickets to be issued has been fixed at the same as last year. This number is now being rapidly approached—although the day is still almost a fortnight off—and those who are desirous of attending should see to it, and not leave it too late before applying. Nothing is being left undone which may conduce to the success of the gathering, and at, a meeting of the committee on Thursday night, the final arrangements were made. Commodious and convenient dressing rooms will be erected and the lighting of the building, which has always been a feature at the Masonic gatherings, will be ou a scale not approached before. The music has been placed in Mr T. Hartly's competent hands, so that nothing further need to be said in that regard. On this occasion a committee of the wives of members of the Lodge has undertaken the providing of the supper, and we may safely say the ladies will do their utmost to see that this department reflects creiit on themselves and is in keeping with the other arrangements. The decorations have been left in Mr A. Swarbrick's hands, and will be strictly Masonic in character. There will be a splendid mocu on the night, and given fine weather, we may safely predict that the gathering will be the most successful yet held by LodgeBeta.
