THE COLLIERS' STRIKE.
120,000 MEN ON STRIKE. (by electric telegraph.— coyright). London, Juno 14. The authorities of South Wales have again appealed to Mr Ritchie, Secretary of the Board of Trade, to intervene to settle the miners' strike. June 15. Non-union miners in South "Wales who did not join the strikers, and lately received an advance of 10 per cent., now demand a further advance of 10 per cent., otherwise they will assist the union men ou strike. Several Welsh members of Parliament are protesting against the despatch of troops to the disturbed districts. (Received June 17, '2.20 a.m.). London, June 16, Five hundred soldiers patrol tho streets of Aberdore and Rhoddo, in Glamorganshire, where one hundred and twenty thousand strikers are congregated. Mr Ritchie has declined an appeal by the South Wales authorities to intervene in connection with the miners' strike. He declines to interfere until either side has applied for intervention under the Conciliation Act.
