Yesterday,—(Before Captain Jackson, S.M.) Hallenstein Bros. v. Toot.—Claim £2 6isd. The defendant forwarded £2 and agreed to pay the balance by the 16th.—Judgment was given for the balance, 6s sd, and costs £1 6s. .Same v. Mrs Jm Marie Grace.— Claim 18s 3d.—Judgment for amount claimed and costs, 13s. Goodwin v. McLaren.—Claim £1 16s lOd, balance of wages deducted for grazing of horse, absence from work, and damage to harrows.—Judgment was given for defendant without costs. W, A. P. Sutton v. T. Rotiiwell.— Claim £ll Ss 6d. Mr A. Stvarbrick appeared for the plaintiff and Mr R. W. Dyer for the defendant.—This case was partly heard and was then adjourned until to-day at 9.30 a.m. Hawking. —A coloured individual was charged with hawking goods in the Borough of Hamilton without a license. After hearing the evidence, a fine of 7s 6d with costs 19s, was inflected.
