Cheese scarce and wanted. Chaff and hay very scarce. Pigs and pork are now in good demand. Bacon rising. Poultry firmed up a little, and are now realising payable prices. The Egmokt Farmers' JJnion report: At our horse fair ou the 28th ult., a large number of horses came forward, but the quality of the majority of them was not up to the usual standard. Although the attendance was large, only a few of the hor&C3 elicited keen competition. We quote :--Draught horßes, £ls to £lB 10a; light harness, £8 5s to £l3 10a ; hacks, £3 to £9 15s. On the Ist inat., %t Manaia, our yards were well filled with cattle and sheep. The attendance waa larger than usual, and bidding on the whole waa more animated than for months past, and with a decided improvement for all classes of stock.
