THE RISING OF 98.
(by telegraph.—press association). Auckland, Lust Night. Thk centenary of the Irish rising in 170 S was commemorated by a requiem Mass at St. Patrick's and a concert at St. Benedict's Hall. Addresses were given by Bishop Lenihan, Mr J. D. Connolly aud Mr \V. Wliitaker. There was a large attendance.
