MINING LEGISLATION.
(BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION). Auckland, Last Night. It was suggested to Mr Carlman that a Royal Commission be appointed to coneider the Mining Bill and deal with mining legislation, but the Minister did not favour the proposal. He said the experience of Royal Commissions was that they were a great expense and the results were unsatisfactory.
