♦ Wellington, Monday. Another sailor, named Brown, was arrested to-day, and detained in custody on board the Tauranga, on the charge of being concerned in the affray on Saturday. The night police managed to handcuff him at the time ; but he got away with the manacles on him. A civilian, named Hopeworth, who encouraged the sailors to resist the police, was fined 40s. Constable McLeod, amongst other injuries, received a eevere kick in the stomach, and today was ttill bad, spitting blood.
