THE LATE ACCIDENT AT HELENSVILLE.
m (by telegraph.—press association). Auckland, Last Night. The Railway Department have made provision for the widow and children of the late Mr Barker, engineer, who was killed near Helensville. The Minister lias authorised the payment of £SOO as compensation, and the widow is to be appointed postmistress at Taupiri with a fixed salary and free house.
