FATAL ACCIDENT.

An accident occurred in the King Country on Tuesday morning about 9 o'clock, which resulted in the death of one of the men engaged on the Mokau section of the railway. It appears that two men were coming down the line on a trolly on which was a frame for removing earth, etc. This had some sharp stakes at the corcers. On coming round a curve this oame off, and the unfortunate man (McMillan) was thrown on one of these stakes, which tore his stomach open. Dr. Pairnian was at once sent for, and the men came down to Otorohanga to meet him, while others brought the injured man down the line ; but ou reaching Te Kuiti poor McMiliau succumbed to his injuries.--(Own Correspondent).
