♦ (by otlegraph—own correspondent). Auckland, Last Night. Several breaches of the Factories Act and Shop Hours Act were dealt with by Mr Hutchinson, S.M., to-day. Jane Wheeler for failing to allow five female employees a holiday on Good Friday, was fined £1 and coats in each case. Chas. Chilcott, jeweller, for employing a boy on Saturday af teruoon, was fined 5s and costs. J. R. Self, draper, for employing an assistant for a longer period than 11$ hours on a particular day, was fined 5s and costs.
