(by electric telegraph—copyright). London, May 12. TriE Church of England Convocation has discussed the petition by John Kensit against the alleged excesses in regard to ritualistic practices at certain London churches. The Archbishop of Canterbury severely censured the extravagance displayed in connection with the services in these churches. He said he himself was collecting evidence on the matter. Kensit is the leader of the antiritualistic party who for some time have been openly protesting against ritualistic practice at St. Mark's (Marylebone) and St. Ethelburga (Bishopsgate) Churches. In some cases the opposition was so demonstrative that the police had to be called in.
