0 (BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION). Wanganui, Last Night. Yesterday a distribution of food took place at the Putiki Pah, Hon. Mr Carroll presenting a stack of edibles to the natives, and observing Maori etiquette. The stack was a very valuable, being about 80 feet by 72 feet high, and besides food, included a large number of Maori mats, greenstone meres and £199 in notes.
