Raniuaohia Road Boakik—The usual monthly meeting of the Rnngiaoh : a Road Board was held on Saturday last. There were present : Messrs W 11. Mandeno (chairman), R. Kay, Geo. McKinder and M. Turncy. A circular was received from the Katikati Road R aid re rating on unimproved value. The accounts passed for payment were : J. Spragg, £4 ; C. Bygrave, .£3 ; Waikato Ahgus, £1 Ss 6d. The annual meeting ot ratepayers takes place on Monday, May 2nd, at 3 o'clock. Salk Da v. Mr Hunter's usual monthly sala took place on Saturday last. The attendance was very la'ge The cattle and sheop yards were well filled. Musical Society.—At a committee meeting, held on Tuesday, it was decided to commence the rehearsal of "Ehuinie" on Wednesday, 11th May. This is a very amusing comic opera, in which two thieves play a conspicuous part, and should prove a gnat favourite with the public CnrKcn Matters.—At a meeting of St. John's vestry, accounts covering nine mouths up to 31st March last, showinc a liability of nearly £6, were passed. In order to wipe off this and present a clean sheet to the parish meetiug next July, it was decided to have an entertainment iu the Public Hall on Friday, June 3rd. The first pait will he concert only, followed by a thort dramatic piece, and winding up with the inevitable dance.— (Own Correspondent).
