" 1 declare, I don't know. At the time s'posed, of course, that a schoolmaster was meant, and didn't ask any further . but, come to think about it, for all I know she may have married a corn doctor, a piano timer, a sleight-of-hand proformer, a dancin' mnster, a ballon asoensionist, a physician, a mandolin player, a boxer, a glass eater, a rope walker, a fiddler, a shabby genteel man with no visible means of support, or any one of a dozeu other kinds of professors."
