LABOUR CONFERENCE.

Wellington, J/ist Night. The Labour Conference this morning discussed the Eight Hours' bill drafted by ihe committee. The Conference agreed that overtime be time and ahalf, except on Sunday, when it should be double. As to the payment of the Conciliation Board, he thought it should remain as at present and be paid from the consolidated fund. The opinion was expressed that the head of the Labour Depaitment and the Inspectors were not receiving sufficient remuneration. It was resolved to urge the Government to push through the Labour Department Bill introduced by the Hon. W. P. Reeves.
