MR ALEXANDER AiTKEN'S REPORT.— My Easter sale was a great success, and resulted in the attendance of all the best l«yer3 in town. In consequence of northern boats arriving late, some hundreds of cases have to be sold on Saturday. Heavy arrivals and the threatening weather depressed prices somewhat. All choice dessert fruits, however, realised splendid prices. Potatoes, onions, chaff and maize arc still dear, and likely to be. Pollard is almost unprocurable. Butter and eggs : I cleared 300 pack ages this week, but the demand continued up to date. Keg butter is specially sought for. Poultry arrived in large numbers, and prices again fell.
