RAGLAN.

Land Sale.—Mr Langley, land agent, has just disposed of 227 acres of land at Te Mata, the properly of Mr Pilling, to Mr Hemmingway, from Canterbury. Accnox Salk.— On Saturday afternoon Mr Langley, auctioneer, disposed of the publican's and temperance booths and gates at the forthcoming races for the sums of £5 12s 6d, £], and £4 15s, respectively. Indian Scjijier, —The weather continues bright and clear—a veritable Indian summer. The day 3 are perfect for visitors and those on pleasure bent, though settlers having sown their grass and other seeds would no doubt prefer a little rain. The nights are much colder, and especially the last throe. The roads keep irr good order, au 1 workers on the roads arc busily engaged in various parts cf the district. CoNciuiiGATioNAri Services, —On Sunday last Mr Leach eouducfed services at Ruapuke, Okete and Raglan, preaching at the latter place irr the evening. Good congregations assembled to hear him, and his services were much appreciated. Mr Mays presided at the organ at the Raglan services, Mr Leach and Mr Mays leave Raglan by Tuesday's coach. Mr Leach intends, it all i 3 well, to return to Raglan after Easter, and will then take up the work here for some time. On Monday evening he conducted a very interesting Bible class, and on the same evening a singing class was held. On the 9th of April a gift auction and tea is to take place to help to pay off a debt cf about £4O. Several Auckland friends are expected to assist.--(Own Correspondent).
