PHYLLIS PERRIER.
Phyllis Perriek, tlu famous child mimic, appeared before a crowded house in the Volunteer Hall, Hamilton, last evening. The talented young lady kept the audience in the heat of humour, and roars of laughter greeted her at every turn. In assuming the character of " Edith," and annoying her sister's young man " Adolphus," was a huge success, and her antics were most enthusiastically received. The young lady sang " Mrs 'Enry 'Awkins" in excelleut coster style, and her imitations of.the members of the Matta Company, Alice Learner singing " Looking For a Coon Like Me," Johnny Coleman in the " Scarecrow Dance," little Gulliver singing " Home, Sweet Home," created no end of merriment. The telephone skit wa* also well received. The bellows and whistle feat was decidedly funny, and "Frank Lincoln's Cocktail" was a splendid imitation of the famous entertainer. Mr Perrier's musical eccentricities, overture on empty bottles, " Annie Laurie " on a bar ot soap, his imitation of the kettledrum, tunes on the bell 3, and ventriloquism greatly assisted in forming a delightful Utile variety entertainment, which must be seen to be enjoyed. '1 his is the first and last appearance of the company, which leaves for Rjtorua by train to-day and performs in che Geyser township this evening.
