(by telegraph.—own correspondent). Auckland, Last Night. River Plate shares were still asked for to-day ou the Exchange at 17s 6d, but had no sellers under 19s Buyers of Standard Insurance offered lis, and of Nationals 15s. Transactions were made in Grislorne Gas at 40s Gd and Thames Gas at 40s. Coal shares were in steady demand all-round at late rates. Mining stocks had little business. Waihi-Silvcrtons were a shade firmer, 4s 6d being offered, with no sellers under 5s 6d. Wailu Grand Junctions had inquiry at 15s 6d and Woudstocks at 20s without sales resulting. Puru shares were in demand at 2s Id and Alburnias at 3s 3d. Other lines had no alteration.
